A little bit confused

A little bit confused

I hear many different rumors that tell me different things about acne, so I was hoping you could clear some stuff up.
    a. Would drinking six cups of water a day benefit my acne?
    b. Does drinking one cup of almost boiling hot water before you sleep help?
    c. I wash my face three times a day and I heard washing too much is bad, so am I wasihng to much?

thanx

Charles:

Washing once or twice a day is enough.  Washing more often than that may dry out the skin, and adds no real benefit.

Drinking many glasses of water a day, boiling or not, does not really "flush out the pores," as is often claimed.  Drink when you feel thirsty.

Best.

I have a last question. I use benzoyl peroxide once everyday and wash my face two or three times a day and my skin is starting to peel a bit. Could it be because I am alergic (allergic) to it or just because I have sensitive skin? Should I continue what I am doing or change something like using another acne product and if so then what do you reccomend?  thanx

Charles:

When benzoyl peroxide causes allergy, peeling is usually pretty intense.  I suggest washing less often.  If that doesn't work, try cleansing with a mild, nonmedicated soap for a few days, then resume the benzoyl peroxide and se what happens.

Best.
