Hello,
Genital warts are highly contagious. They are most often transmitted by skin-to-skin contact during vaginal, anal, or (in rare cases) oral sex with someone who is infected.
Hope it helps.Take care and regards.
If the other person had no sexual history until she was with me, likewise for myself, can you still get HPV if you've never had an intimate relationship with anyone when it's your first time for both of the individuals? Thank you again for your answers, sorry for asking too much. I'm just really worried.
Hello,
Genital warts are spread mainly through direct skin to skin contact with the infected area. Genital HPV is passed on during sexual contact especially through vaginal and anal sex, but oral sex and even non-penetrative sex play (when hand transmission of genital warts can take place) are risky too.Transmission of the towels is rarae but not impossible. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
I have been applying the Neosporin ointment to the single bump and it seems to have lessened in size. I realized that, this is embarrassing to say, when I give myself "the low five" part of my palm inevitably touches the bump slightly. I have done this for a while and still there is no alteration on the area that makes contact with the pimple-like bump. Can this rule out the possibility of it being a wart? I recently also touched it with my finger tips while trying to apply the ointment, mainly the reason why I ask. In addition, I do scrub there when I take baths and have before and after I had it. I don't want to spread it if it is a wart. Can it even spread like that? Even more I don't want to infect my family members since we do share towels. Once again, "Thank you" in advance.
Hello,
Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but it can be contact dermatitis, rash due to friction rub, folliculitis, cysts ,molluscum contagiosum(multiple, small, dome-shaped papules, often with a central depression or plug) or genital warts(caused by HPV infection).
Apply warm compresses,Neosporin ointment and calamine lotion and avoid messing with it.You can take anti-inflammatory pain killers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen. If the lump persists then it will be best to get it evaluated from a dermatologist.
I hope that helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
