Hello,
The rash from hives or dermatitis is non contagious and if the hives don’t go after 6 wks of treatment also, then it can be a case of chronic urticaria which needs further evaluation as it may be due to auto antibodies.A dermatologist’s examination is required then.

I hope it helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.

So really nothing to worry about then uh? I can agree with what your sayin' on the rash from the sinus part. just I can't take anything for it cuz of having C.O.P.D.
But the main thing that scare me is the rash if its contigous or need to been seen.
thanks for taking the time with me.

Hello,
It looks like that you are having hives or dermatitis. Many cases of hives are "idiopathic," meaning no cause is known. Others may be triggered by viral infections or medications. In your case, sinus infections can be the trigger.

The mainstay of treatment of hives is antihistamine which may be necessary for prolonged periods (in excess of 6 weeks). Take these non-sedating antihistamines such as Cetirizine(Zyrtec)  or  Loratadine(Claritin) to get symptom relief. Sedating antihistamines such as Chlorphenamine(Benadryl) is used at night to get urticaria control. Short courses of oral cortisone or steroids are taken for short periods (one to three days) to settle more severe symptoms.
You may take Vitamin C along with the prescribed treatment and apply calamine lotion on the rash. Vitamin C is a general anti-allergy supplement. It helps stabilize mast cells so they are less likely to release histamine.

In case the symptoms persist then pls consult a dermatologist for evaluation.

Hope it helps.Take care and regards.

It's kinda like red rash (hives) that DO NOT itch or bother me. But everytime I get them I notices I have like stiffin' achin' sinus problems' & hard to breath. It stay for bout a week then goes away on it's on.
But when it 1st started..it was ONLY on my neck & upper chest & back. Each time that it comes back, I've notices it's spreading more: like this time it's on my shoulder's  & lower part of arms. And on my upper legs.

I went to the ER last night & they didn't give me a chance to explain it to them & said I had:  1.DERMATTIS (remember I said it don't itch) 2.PHARYNGITIS 3.SINUSITIS
4.UPPER RESPIRATORY INFECTION

I feel it something serious & can't shake it off til I find answers; Please & thank you
