ACUTE PITYRIASIS LICHENOIDES

MY 6 MONTH OLD SON WAS RECENTLY DIAGNOSED WITH ACUTE PITYRIASIS LICHENOIDES (PLEVA).  CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME THE CAUSE OF THIS DISEASE, EFFECTS ON THE BODY, TREATMENT, AND DURATION.  ALSO, IS THERE ANY SPECIFIC TEST THAT CAN BE DONE TO VERIFY THE DOCTOR'S DIAGNOSIS?

The cause is unknown. There are no systemic effects.  The condition lasts 3 months or more in some cases.  Skin biopsy can help corroborate the diagnosis, but may not be needed if the doctor is sure on clinical grounds.

My 4 year old daughter has Mucha Habermann Disease with Leukemia cells in it. She has had it for 2 years now. It has gone dormat for now, but still it worries me.
