MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi

Vitiligo is a chronic skin condition which results to loss of skin cells responsible for pigmentation. The cause may have  genetic or immune factors involved. There are severe cases of vitiligo which requires phototherapy. In the long run, if the condition progresses there may be options for depigmentation. Phototherapy appears to be effective. You may ask your doctor about this. For milder forms, topical steroids have been used.
