Abrasion on penis...confused???

by bing84, Nov 22, 2005 12:00AM
After a night of pretty intense/rough sex that lasted around an hour I noticed a single red bump(papule) that seemed to be a little inflamed in comparison to the other papules on the penis. The bump  is red but not open or an ulceration and isnt particularly painful. My last sexual contact before this was 3 months ago and there was never any signs of herpes blisters or symptoms in the 3 months leading up until now. I checked the area probably 4-5 times a day. I was just wondering if this bump sounds more like an abrasion due to the sex or herpes? Also the bump it feels like its not just on the surface of the skin, but a hard bump underneath? and ideas on what this could be.

Thanks

Sounds like an abrasion, not herpes.  I suggest you let it alone and see if it resolves.  If it doesn't, or if it recurs, show a doctor.

Take care.
