Acne back/chest

I'm a 42 tear-old male.  For quite sometime now I have had pimples on my back, chest, lower stomach area and Buttocks.  Sometimes they are large and irritating.  They come and go and sometimes leave a little scar.  My doctor has prescribed Benza Cline, Triaz, Clindamycin patch and gel.  They help for a bit but then come back.  I notice they seem to appear when I go to the gym.  But not always.  Is there anything you can advise to alleviate the persistent acne?  Thanks

Acne of the torso is hard to treat with topical (external) things.  Your doctor may want to consider adding an oral antibiotic like doxycycline.  Another thought: sometimes pimples off the face are caused by staph germs and aren't regular acne.  This needs a different antibiotic.  Perhaps your doctor may want to culture some of the pimpoles to look into this.
