Acne (scar) need help!!

Just joined because I need some advice and I would greatly appreciate anyone's input...About two years ago I had a big zit between my eyes that I popped and would continually pick off the scab everytime it came back(I know, dumb)...Eventually the pink skin turned back to normal in a couple months and everything looked great - and up until August it was completely invisible - no complaints whatsoever...Then I accidentally scratched the same area really bad, and the basic outline of that initial scabbed (about a 1/2 inch circle, so quite noticeable) turned bright red again (but no bleeding at all or anything, so I thought it would go away in a matter of days + coincidentally at the same time i went back to my derm. so acne meds and she said it would go away and gave it a cortisone shot).. It's been about two months since that happened, and i'm not sure what's going on with my skin and i can't go back to the dermatologist because i'm out of the country...for about a month up until now there have been little whitish/yellow sticks growing in there on top of the red bed and sloughing off occasionally (is this new skin or what, it's not pus I don't think) I feel like it's becoming less indented/red in some places but there's now an outline of the scab from two years ago in a sort of grayish color that I hope will turn back to normal pigment....plus still some red areas, and still some growing areas with the yellowish looking skin(I think).. I put Neosporin and Vitamin E on it at first, but recently I've been just staying away from it as to not irritate it/mess up progress already made... From what I described, when should this completely heal? Will it be like the last time - a couple more months of healing or is this bad?? I don't think it should be permanent because there was no bleeding but it's just the reinjuring of this skin that leads me to think this could be awhile... Thanks for the advice of anyone, I just keep trying to wait it out but it's taking very long.
