Hi I am on my third month of acutane and have a ton of large bumps under my skin that almost looks like a rash. I had taken acutane before and did not expierence this side effect. Do you think it is from the acutane?
Are you taking a higher dose this time? Inform your prescriber who may wish to reduce your dose for a while, if side effects are difficult to tolerate.
Reblance skin by using bland cleansing and moisturising products. My favorite brand whilst on Accutane was La Roche-Posay. The physiological cleanser is very gentle and the Rosaliac range soothes redness.

Accutane is an isotretinoin, may indeed cause such rash (including facial erythema, seborrhea, and eczema) as a side effect. Effects are usually dose related ( dependent on the dosage applied). Aside from the rash, other observed side effects include: alopecia , bruising, dry mouth, dry skin, flushing, fragility of skin, hair abnormalities, hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation, pruritus, abnormal wound healing ( ref: http://www.rxlist.com/accutane-drug.htm). It would be best to inform your doctor about this for proper management.
Take care and regards.
