Adult Acne, accutane, alopecia

Hello. I have still some problems with acne even I am 50 years old. I am a man. My dermatologist adviced to start with accutane (isotretinoin). My worry is:  I've heard that this strong drug that can cause alopecia (even sometimes permanent after treatment). I have some hair loss, normal at my age, but I am scared this treatment can accelerate the normal process of hair loss. My question is: would you recommend to follow this treatment for adult acne or it can cause more trouble than advantages?
Many thanks for your response

Resistant cases of acne are treated with accutane, but weighing the pros and cons.Under the care of a competent dermatologist this should not be a problem.
