Aldara + hemangioma

My 2-month old granddaughter has 4 hemangiomas.  One is about half the size of a dime on the side of  her neck.  One half the size of a pencil eraser on her throat under her chin.  One about the size of a pencil eraser on her foot.  The newest one just looks like a slight red mark on the side of her left nostril where it attaches to the cheek.  Dermatologist recommends Aldara 5% on that one because she's afraid it might grow internally and interfere with breathing.  Is this a safe treatment?  And also, she said that if she gets a 5th one, they should do a scan to see if there are internal hemagiomas.  What do you thinK?
