Allergic Reaction?

Just yesterday a few hours after I took a shower my body became incredibly itchy basically everywhere (legs, arms, back, scalp etc.) but has been particularly bad on my chest. I tried to think of anything different that I may have used or eaten and I figured it's probably my new body wash. Upon investigating I realized the body wash has red #33 and #4 dyes in it, the body wash I used previously had no dyes. I was wondering if this was possibly a red dye sensitivity or allergy or if this new body wash maybe isn't as gentle? The new body wash is Skin So Soft Signature Silk I believe. I haven't had any problems with red dye in foods or medication that I've noticed.

The itching appeared after you had taken a shower. So it looks like an allergic reaction. For such itching oral antihistamine, such as Benadryl or Claritin can be used. If the symptoms persist then get an evaluation done from a dermatologist as topical and oral steroids may be needed after confirming the diagnosis.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
