allergy of some sort.
I do not know what exactly she touched or eaten, but it only affects her palms and not anywhere else.
This is the second time it happened to her. We went apple picking 2 days prior to when I realized something was wrong with her hands
became larger and the hand was really really swollen at this point. She also said it was painful when those spots were touched.
At this point we went to the doctor, and doctor prescribed her Zyrtec 1mg/ml syrup, 200 Cephalexin 250mg/5ml suspen, and 30 Prednisolone 15mg/5ml Sol.
Immediately her skin started to thickly harden, and within couple of days the affected skin started to come off, or shed, little by little.
Now it is in the process of coming off but I was wondering since this is the second time it is happening, what exactly is this condition, and have anyone seen this before and know how to prevent it? (She missed two weeks of school, and if it happens again, it will be terrible for her to miss out on school once she is in higher grades...)
For right now, I am just going to tell her not to touch any plant...
It is strange because the reaction does not spread and stays strictly local to her palms. Is this common among allergic reactions, and am I right to think that this is because of what she touched? Does anyone know any similar condition? I searched online but couldn't quite get any answers.
Please help me out if you know anything.
