Alopecia Frustration

by ROBERTSMW, Apr 10, 2009 11:06AM
Dear Dr.
I have a spot of alopecia on my face. It has been around for several months. It is right on the area of my chin, which makes it very noticable. My Dermatogist tried cortisone cream, then oral prednisone, the after some reluctance, kenalog injections. He said he was hesitant about the kenalog because it may cause my skin to thin out. My queation is if my skin does thin out, is it permant? Also is kenalog effective in treating this condition? And give me your opinion on his use of the prednisone.
                                                         Thanks,
                                                              Robertsmw
