I recently recieved KenalogKenalog Kenalog in orabase Kenalog-10 Kenalog-40 Injections to treat Alopecia Barbae. I am noticing some hair regrowth, but more than that I am noticing some small dents or dimples in my faceFace pain from the injections. I was wondering if they are permanent or will they go away in time?
Hello,
What you seem to be having is due to atrophy of the skin or muscle due to kenalogKenalog Kenalog in orabase Kenalog-10 Kenalog-40 injection. It should gradually improve on its own in a few weeks but sometimes it may take even an year to fill.If the dents remain then collagen filling from a cosmetologist may be needed.
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
You are now in a damage controlControl Control rx zone, and further injections may be avoided.Your dermatologist perhaps may give to you Tacrolimus creme
Thanks to the both of you for your help. I have dermatologit appointment the 20th and I will update you all on what he says. Again, thank you so much!

Well the appoinment was disappointing. He prescibed me Protopic ointment o.l.s. I am kind of doubtful of this cream. The small dents are going away though and as far as I can tell the hair is still growing back. That is in the area where I got the injections. The new spot looks about the same. I am tired of battling this condition, but I guess I have no other choice. What would you guys recommend?
I have a question.I have alopecia and I have had it since I was a child.I have had steroid injections but I am not sure what they are called.I was wondering if Kenalog was a steroid.I actually dont know that much about my condition and I was wondering if you knew of any other treatments that have worked for you. My doctors only give me steroid creams(triamcinolone acetonide )it works ok I guess. I am looking for a new treatment to suggest to my dermatologist because, unfortunately) they dont really do much if I dont ask ,do u know of any???
