I I did had my Surgery for my skin tags about 3 weeks ago, and it is extremelly inflamed and swellen... I have being bleeding for about 3 weeks, where I even bleed at night and wake up with a lot blood on my underwear.
My butt looks like a circus with uninvited clows, it looks like I have more skin tags then before, and a little space in between some new bumps that were not there.
My surgeon is suppost one of the 10 best in the world not just in US.
I did go to my primary doctor and he told me I had to see the surgeon right a way, but the surgeon could not see me, and I am waitting to see him..
Does anyone knows if it is normal to have all this sweeling for 3 weeks and all this new bumps and bleeding????
Also the huge pain is gone but the discomfort to sit is horrible and I also have some discharge, what I heard it is normal... Does anyone know if it will ever go back to normal or will I need another surgery to fix it???
I just want to have a human butt again, and go back to my normal lif and activities..

Hi,

Are you having any other associated symptoms of pain, bleeding, itching, mucoid discharge, etc?

This could be an anal skin tag secondary to anal fissures, hemorrhoids, warts due to human papillloma virus, moles, or in rare cases due to rectal cancer.

'An anal fissure is an unnatural crack or tear in the anus skin. As a fissure, these tiny tears may show as bright red rectal bleeding and cause severe periodic pain after defecation.'

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anal_fissure

and

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/anal-fissure/DS00762

'Symptoms of external hemorrhoids may include painful swelling or a hard lump around the anus that results when a blood clot forms. This condition is known as a thrombosed external hemorrhoid.

In addition, excessive straining, rubbing, or cleaning around the anus may cause irritation with bleeding and/or itching, which may produce a vicious cycle of symptoms. Draining mucus may also cause itching.'

If lifestyle and self-care measures such as adding more fiber to your diet, drinking more water, getting regular exercise, and taking a stool softener or occasional laxative aren't effective, your doctor may recommend the following nonsurgical treatments:
Medicated creams or suppositories, local application of nitroglycerin or botulinum.

Surgery usually involves cutting a portion of the anal sphincter muscle to reduce spasm and pain and promote healing. Surgery may also include removal of the fissure and any scar tissue resulting from it.

It would be best to consult a surgeon for your symptoms to find out the cause of your complaints.

Till then you could try eating a high-fiber diet, using stool softener, taking pain killer and having a sitz bath for your symptoms. Apply calamine lotion at the site, keep the area clean and well moisturized, wear lose, comfortable clothes and maintain good personal hygiene.

Let us know if you need any other information. Post us about how you are doing.

Regards.
