Angiofibroma

I am a 26 year old femail and recently had an angiofibroma removed from my nose.  Everything online says that these benign tumors are only common in adolescent males.  The dermatologist that removed it told me that it was very common for me and nothing to be concerned about.  I am in the midst of having  my thyroid tested and have never been healthy my entire life (lots of sinus issues).  When I asked if I should be tested for MEN1 if there is a thyriod problem present he said no way.  Does anyone think that I should be tested for MEN1 given the fact that I did have an angiofibroma on my nose at age 26?
