Antibiotics and pregnancy

by Melissa, Jan 29, 2001 12:00AM
I am currently taking amoxicillian and Cleocin T lotion for acne. I wanted to check and see if that would cause problems since we are trying to get pregnant. Is there a better choice of medication to be on in this case? Thanks

Melissa:

Although neither drug is a major danger, you probably don't want to be on either one if you actually become pregnant.  You ought to speak with your doctor about what might be substituted.  I usually use topical erythromycin.

Best.
