gets tender. I go to the doctor and over the years all have said the same thing, Shingles. It is only one half dollar size round full of tiny blistrs. I take the oral RX and zovirax cream and it clears it up pretty fast. they are on my buttocks and uppper thigh areas. Some of them do leave scars.
A doctor a few months back tried to culture it and thyought it to be someting else, and I can't remember the name. But the culture was not productive due to the stage of the dried up blisters at the time. I am to go back when they oocur again, which is today actually. Having only one circle I don't feel it is shingles and neither did the doctor this time.
When she first told me this and before I lost the name of what she felt it was, I had researched it and it was tied to celiic or gluten. Has anyone else ever had this happen and what was the results. Thanks. V
One of the important possibilities that is coming to my mind is of dermatitis herpetiformis. Typical symptoms include burning, stinging, and intense itching
associated with a gluten-sensitive enteropathy. Investigation which needs to be done is biopsy skin which is the only investigation to diagnose this condition.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
