Anything over the counter that can help this?

    
    I have not been diagnosed by a Doctor, I have a little itchy area on forehead, on both sides of nose but out onto the cheek somewhat. The skin seems to not want to stay around the infected area and continues to just lift and flake off! Redness lightens up through the day but flakes and seems redder after washing my face and as Im washing i can feel the dry skin washing off... . Seems like it goes into a state of dormancy at times.. Sun exposure helps, A moderate sun burn will set it back for a week.A small itchy patch developed like 10 years ago and it is slowly getting worse, Will take any advice given.

From the symptoms it can be dry skin, seborrheic dermatitis or eczema. Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin condition that causes flaky, dry, white to yellowish scales to form on oily areas esp the face, chest and genitalia. Treatment is different for all and hence the diagnosis needs to be confirmed first.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
