Hi,

The bumps in your scrotum could be infected hair follicles or folliculitis. Folliculitis usually appears as small, white-headed pimples around one or more hair follicles.and often clears by itself in a few days. Are there other signs or symptoms present? How long have you been having them?

It could also be Hirsuties papillaris genitalis, a clinical skin condition of the male genital organs. It is a harmless anatomical variation  that can also be mistaken for warts. The papules appear as one or several rows of small, flesh-colored, and smooth bumps found in the genitals. This is more common in uncircumcised males.

If the condition persists,it is best to see your doctor for further evaluation and management. Take care and keep us posted.

iv noticed these like for maybe a week or two now. There used to be one big one but it feel off when i put drops on it. The drops were made for removing warts like on ur hands. It kinda just melted off. I try to pop these but the dontpop. They kinda feel hard in my skin but are smooth. Likewhen i try to pop them they feel hard. I got a wart on my hand now but i got it after i seen the big one. And a wart on my knee. Iv had oral sex befor it showed up but like a year or more befor it showed up. Im using bacterail soap on them and it kind looks like there going away but i cant tell.

Could it be genital warts? What are the signs of genital warts? like can they be popped? Are they hard? What colors? How many? I want to no everyhing about genital warts. im soo scarre

Hi,

Genital warts or condylomata acuminata, is a highly contagious sexually transmitted infection caused by some sub-types of human papillomavirus (HPV). It is spread through direct skin-to-skin contact during oral, genital, or anal sex with an infected partner.  They may occur in clusters and can be very tiny or can spread into large masses in the genital or penis area. In males, they usually are seen on the tip of the penis, shaft of the penis, on the scrotum, or around the anus. HPV virus can last from 3 months to 2 years without a symptom.

The most common causes of hair follicle damage include: friction from shaving or tight clothing, excessive perspiration, inflammatory skin conditions, including dermatitis and acne, or injuries to the skin. The signs and symptoms of folliculitis vary, depending on the type of infection. In superficial folliculitis, signs and symptoms include: clusters of small red bumps that develop around hair follicles, pus-filled blisters that break open and crust over and itchiness.
Here's a link about folliculitis: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000823.html

Is there any reason for you to have genital warts? Was there a previous history of  unprotected sex? If not, do not worry about it. However, if you are still in doubt, it is always good to see a doctor for proper evaluation. He may do physical examination and complete medical history to reach a clinical diagnosis.

Yes, warts can spread even through oral contact. However, with your age and description of bumps with hair in the middle, it is likely that it is folliculitis. Though, diagnosis through the internet is really limited with lack of physical examination. Let us observe them for a couple of days and it should go away if it is folliculitis. If not, a visit to your doctor is the next step. It is important to keep the area clean and dry. And try to avoid manipulating or popping them to prevent secondary infection. Avoid constrictive clothing to prevent hair from being pulled out unnecessarily. Using antibacterial soap and warm compress to the affected area may also be of help. Take care and keep us posted.
