Areola Dermatitis?

by SarahKay1708, Mar 09, 2009 05:06PM
I am 18 year old female. For the last couple of months (4-5 perhaps), my left breast, areola actually has been itchy. I thought I was allergic to detergent, so I kept switching them. It never stopped. Two months ago, a red spot became visible. It is flaky sometimes, and it seems to be spreading.
I've had dermatitis on my lower leg, it lasted for a year, and just disappeared.I've had the same symptoms I now have on my areola. I also had trouble with urticaria and dermatographism last year. So, I do have some skin conditions.
I suppose I have areola dermatitis, but I' ve read about a disease called Paget's disease of the nipple that is connected to breast cancer. So, I'm worried now, could my condition be this, Paget's disease?

Sounds like dermatitis. I would just use moisturizers. My wife calls it boobalitis. It pops up every winter.
