Armpit rash.

A couple of weeks ago,I wore a dress that rubbed against my armpits and irritated them.Ever since then,this rash has not gone away,and when I shave it makes it a little more irritated and difficult to shave.This is a real nuisance and I just want to know what kind of cream to put on it to make it go away.

It's a little hard to say, as I don't know what your rash looks like, but first I would advise you stop shaving under your arms until the rash is gone.  I know it sounds crazy, but I've had to do it in the past for similar reactions and it's worth it in the end.  I would say try using Benedryl cream or Hydrocortisone cream.  I prefer Benedryl over Hydrocortisone, but use whichever you think is best.  Be especially kind to the area until the rash is gone.  Try to wear soft cotton shirts and avoid putting perfumes or scented lotions on the area.  If the rash is very bad, you may want to switch to a more gentle deoderant until it's healed.  If you decide to try a medicated over the counter cream, be sure to check the label to see that you are not on any medications that should not be combined with it.
