Athletes Foot - How to disinfect old shoes

I recently got rid of athletes foot with powder, and would like to wear my old shoes.  Don't want to discard them since they're fairly expensive. I prefer to not use alcohol or Lysol spray as as they could harm the leather.  Is it possible to disinfect/sterilize old shoes by heating them in the oven to kill the bugs?  What tempurature and how long to kill fungus and bacteria etc.?  Thank you, Dan

Hello,
I don’t think that disinfecting by keeping the shoes in the oven will disinfect them. This can damage the shoes.Instead, sprinkle antifungal foot powder (Pedi-Dry Foot Powder) into shoes after keeping them in the sun. Also wear cotton socks.
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries.Warm regards.

I don't know if it's possible to kill fungus bacteria in the oven. Sounds very experimental. Try a better way and put special antibacterial cedarsoles into your shoes (e.g. zederna or furwa). The cedar tree is very resistant to fungus and bugs. The effect also works within your shoes.
