BURSTED BLOOD vessel on face ????? HELP

Under my left eye.. about 3cm down i have a red spot- like a bursted blood vessel it sticks out a little bit and my skin on my face is quite pale, i have had it for about 3 years and it just wont go away.. i put concealer on it but you can still see it, people think its a pimple :(
i think its a blood vessel im not sure what else it is?
Is their anyway it would go away? could it get lasered out or something??? im really self-concious about it

My 5 year old has had one on his hand and one on his face for about 3 years. The one on his face is getting larger and redder. GP has finally agreed to refer him to a dermatologist. Waiting for his appointment, will let you know how we get on

my lil girl has the same thing on her left cheek. Did you ever find the clinical name for the spot? Her's started out small but grew over 4 weeks but has now stoped to be about the size of a pea, but barely raised. It is dark red in color.   Help

me too! I just went to the doctor today and she said it is a cluster of blood vessels... I can't remember the technical name (that's why I'm surfing around looking for more info). She said you can get it cosmetically removed but it may leave a scar... not cancerous .. hope that helps.
