Bad Yeast smell

Bad Yeast smell

I am a male 38 years old and have a bad yeast smell coming from my groin area. I shower every day use clean clean underwear.  I  wash my clothes with bleach and rinse twice to eliminate any residue. I also have an itch in that area that I have been controling with lotramin spray.  I have seen 3 doctors including 1 dermatologist and have taken nizoral, ketoconazole, spectazole,  and nystatin cream,  only to have the symptoms come back.  I am beginning to think there is no cure for this yeast smell,  which is killing my social life.  Is there anything I can do to get rid of the yeast smell!?

Almost hopeless,

I doubt that you still have any yeast, if you had any to begin with--they couldn't have survived all that anti-yeast medication.  The question then is what is causing the smell.  Do other people smell it, besides you?  Except for sweating, which can be minimized by keeping clean and using powder, I don't know of any diseases, yeast or otherwise, which cause smell.  Is it posible that you are a bit hypersensitive to body odors becuase of your concern that you still have yeast?  I think you need an objective opinion, perhaps from another doctor about both the need for further yeast treatments, as well as the presence of smell.

Best.
