Hi there, i have had a constant annoyance of dermatitis on my upper arms and chest for the past 3 months which only doctors give me cortisone to help with but it never seemed to go away. I do not use soaps and have started trying goats milk
on my arms too which i thought all made sense so i went to the chemist to seek out selsun or something to help. The chemist gave me a pevaryl faoming solution which u use three times and then it is meant to be gone for good. I am on the third night and today also i have broken
and on my face very distressing. It is not itchy and does not burn.I do not know if this is the fungal disease or dermatitis maybe irritated from using the pevaryl? if you have any ideas to help me id be ever so grateful i am a 23 female from australia. I also suffer from I.T.P. and take yasmin. I have photos if u need them of the rash in full redness the blotches look round red with dry wrinkly scaly skin on top they are in big groups joined and also blothces of their own yuk i cant wait to hear back from u i fear goin to the gp as they will just pescribe more corisone i think this is not the problem do u think i could have a fungus overload?? thanks for your time christine :)
My girlfriend appears to have the same problem after having the same treatment (Pevaryl) prescribed by her GP. If you are able to contact me at ***@****, I will send photos of her rash on her back and chest to you and maybe we can confirm whether this is the same reaction. There is no information on the Pevaryl box describing adverse reactions. She is due to see a skin specialist soon regarding this and the original dermatitis for which this treatment was applied. It was suspected as being an uncommon fungal infection.

You may be having adverse reactions with the lotion that you bought. At this point. your condition suggests that this could be an underlying dermatitis or eczema. Eczema or dermatitis is a chronic recurrent condition and may not have a definite cure. There seems to be an underlying autoimmune and genetic component involved with eczematous diseases.
Maintain a close follow up with your physician.Corticosteroid therapy and avoidance of possible triggers and irritants are the mainstay of therapy for dermatitis. If this is a hypersensitivity reaction to the medications, you definitely need to be assessed by your physician. At this point, avoid using any medications without informing your doctor.Skin conditions may not always be easily diagnosed and involved skin is usually sensitive. There should be a degree of caution in intiating any forms of medications.
You have mentioned of ITP. Is this thrombocytopenic purpura?
