Bad reaction to Nature's Gate Acne Treatment System

Bad reaction to Nature's Gate Acne Treatment System

Hi guys - I'm new to this website, but I've literally been scouring the internet for a week now trying to find an answer to what's going on with my skin and have had no luck. I've also tried emailing Nature's Gate - but never received a reply.

I began using Nature's Gate Acne Treatment System about 2 weeks ago. The first few days it seems to be healing my acne and preventing further breakouts. Then all of a sudden last Thursday I began developing these tiny little bumps ALL over my face. They look like clogged pores or blackheads or something. A few of them actually are blackheads, I think. Anyhow, sometimes my skin itches too.

In my teens I always had beautiful clear skin. Then I stopped taking birth control after college and have had moderate to light acne ever since - in addition to extremely sensitive and dry skin. I feel like I have tried everything over the last ten years with no luck. Been to see 4 dermatologists, have tried Retin A, antibiotics, Proactive, Aveeno, Cetaphil (which works for everyone apparently BUT me), Dove, Clindamycin, Spironolactone, Differin, Origins and have even tried making my own lotion out of honey, aloe and jojoba oil. Nothing, and I repeat, nothing has worked. Not even come close....but still, I have never had these weird bumps that the Nature's Gate is causing.

Has anyone else experienced this reaction?

Does anyone have any recommendations on an acne wash and lotion for extremely sensitive yet, acne prone skin? I'm dying here!!! So sick of it :(

Hello,
It looks like an irritant contact dermatitis to the acne cream. It can take several days or weeks to heal provided you do not reapply the cream. You can wash your face with a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil.

You can prevent and treat acne by changing your lifestyle like eating proper diet, getting a good amount of sleep and drink at least eight glasses of water daily.  You can also treat acne by cleaning your face regularly, using skincare products, apply antibacterial topical medications. With the help of the doctor, the treatment of oral antibiotics, contraceptive pills, retinoids, cortisone injections, chemical peels and laser treatment can be your choices.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
