Bakers nevi

hello even i have the same problem i have a dark patch on my right shoulder i went to the doc he said that i have bakers nevus he said that the only treatment for this is laser treatment and after that he said the patch will turn lighter after few years i again visited him he said the he`s going to get a pigmentation machine which will give the patch my skin color
so is it true can laser treatment completely vanish it?????
