Balanitis?

I had sex the day before yesterday and now I have this rash type thing all around my penis.  I have NEVER had this happen to me before.  The head of my penis is a little reddish, or maybe it's just the little red dots that make it look reddish? And when I pull the foreskin back it's all red there too with the little red dots and itchy as all hell (I'm not circumcised).  I read some related posts and someone said Monistat, another said Lotrimin, but I went with Monistat - of course assuming this is Balanitis.  I pulled the foreskin back and applied the cream there, I didn't apply it to the head but I guess when the foreskin went back to its normal position whatever I rubbed in will get applied to the head a bit.  How often should I be cleaning the area and re-applying the cream?  I just want to make sure I'm doing this right cause obviously something like this on my penis that I've never experienced before has me a bit worried :\

This sounds somewhat familiar. In my case the inside of the Foreskin would turn pink or redden, and have that same itching. I never got spots though ..... it would come and go, and I noticed it tended to come back in after intercourse with my partner.

What eventually was told by my Doctor, after consulting with my Partner is that I had an allergy to Thrush. It turned out that she needed treatment, and that, just to be safe, I was told to apply an anti-fungal cream myself. We were also told to halt sexual activity until we were both clear.

Fun stuff.

I think most uncircumcised males are born with the foreskin attached to the corona (ridge) of the glans (penis head), in the location that pearly penile papules are present.  Usually the foreskin detaches without symptoms or without noticing.  Sometimes it doesn't detach early and does so when confronted with force (sounds like what happened here).

Hello,
Yeast infection is a fungal disease and Canasten is a topical antifungal which is available over the counter. You can use it and if the symptoms persist then oral antifungals may be needed.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Hi! I'm no doc but it sounds like what an old boyfriend of mine used to get from me whenever I had a yeast infection. Supposedly men can't get it but it would leave him with a nasty red rash that itched like crazy. I had him use Monistat cream until it went away. Thrush is yeast and I think it can burrow under the skin especially if sex is especially,uh, moist and messy. Except for the cream I'd try to keep the area as dry as possible and let lots of air get to it. He usually cleared up in a week or so.  Hope that helps. Good luck!

I have been washing the area at least twice daily, and it has definitely gotten better from the scary looking thing it was when I first posted this.  The itching kind of comes and goes, and sometimes it's just like AHHHH I GOTTA ITCH IT, until I go to the bathroom to clean it up, but the redness has gone down ALOT from what it was to the point that it's barely noticeable.  Gonna keep doing what I'm doing till it goes away completely.

Hello,
You are right in guessing that it can be balanitis. It is an inflammation of the glans penis.

Oral course of antibiotics is needed. In addition, pls don’t use any cosmetics on the penis, instead use some topical antimicrobials like Bacitracin or Lotrimin. Also corticosteroids and topical immunosuppressants can be used but they are available under prescription. Also retract the foreskin daily and soak in warm water to clean penis and foreskin. In case the symptoms persist then pls consult a urologist/dermatologist for evaluation and antimicrobials and steroids prescription.

Hope it helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries.Kind regards.
