Balantis

Hi

I recently had balantis and this came about six days after I received a handjob with saliva and a little oral from a sex worker, can you confirm if I could have caught this from her, or would I have had to have had penetrative sex to get this.

thanks

You don't get balanitis from anybody--the term refers to inflammation, which isn't contagious or transmissible.  The friction from sex could bring it on, though.  You should consider trying some over-the-counter 1% hydrocortisone twice a day for a week and avoiding friction.  If that doesn't clear you up, you should see a doctor then.

Best.

Wow! I also had contact with a sexual worker (same experience) and have walked around for the last 2 months with a inflammation of the tip of the penis... also diagnosed balantis.

I have been tested for everything except herpies (herpes), and got that done today, if I come up positive i will report back...

my doctor said they dont know the cause of balantis.... could be a correlation..
