Bald spots in beard

by Yogz, Dec 04, 2008 06:40PM
Hi, I have a quick question about what I've researched as being alopeica barbae, facial hair loss. I have two small bald spots on my chin and they dont seem to be growing back. When I went to my doctor he said there was nothing I could do except wait and hope for them to grow back and if it gets considerably worse, see a dermatologist about having steroid injections on the affected areas.
As someone who is used to having a goatee I am very frustrated by these bald spots and after 2 months they are still not growing back, I do not wish to go down the steroid injection route and was wondering if there were any other treatments available for this...?

Any feedback much appreciated,
