Best Treatment for my acne and depression

Best Treatment for my acne and depression

Research spironolactone, it is excellent in conjunction with birth control.
Also, If you have a history of depression I would take an antidepressant too just in case.

I had the same problem, a history of depression and bad skin.  After being on accutane twice, my skin got a lot better but I was still breaking out a little on my face, especially before my period.  (P.S. I had no issues while on Accutane just dry lips and sleeplessness, I would recommend it).  I tried going on birth control both before and after the accutane.  I'll be feeling fine and have no depression for over a year but then, without fail, every time I tried to go on birth control I would get depressed.  I have tried Yaz and Ortho Tri Cyclen.  Ortho Tri Cyclen made me depressed and I gained weight.  I am now taking Yaz, Spironolactone, and Lexapro and I am completely clear and happy.  Yaz did not work by itself.  Spironolactone is a miracle worker try it!  I am less oily, and have no pimples at all.  Then, take an antidepressant just to be safe.
