Betamethasone

Hi,

I read on the internet that the treatment of Phimosis can be with Betamethasone 0,5mg; I wondered if you could tell me if the following would work:

"Quadriderm Cream", containing:

Betamethasone (as 17-Valerate) 0,5mg
Gentamicin (as Sulfate) 1mg
Indochlorhydroxyquin 10mg
Tolnaftate 10mg

Thanks for your advice.

Hi

Treatment with betamethasone ointment is very effective, easy and safe for childhood phimosis. Treatment with 0.05% betamethasone cream has been shown to be a simple and safe method for the treatment of phimosis in boys older than 3 years. It is recommended as the first treatment of choice by experts for this condition. The treatment is generally given for 1- 3 months period and if this fails then an early operation becomes necessary.

However, you should use any medication only after prescription by your doctor.

Take care
