Black eye wont fade, nearly one month and a half

Hi, i was involved in a sports accident where this idiot threw a football at my face by accident. Its been nearly one month and a half since the accident. My black eye is gone but there still is dark discoloration. The discoloration makes me look as if i haven't slept in a few days. It looked really bad when the black eye went away but now its faded a bit. But you can still tell which eye is darker or lighter than the other. I haven't used any medications or creams but i have used that cucumber treatment i heard so much about. What can i do to deal it

Hello,
The blood under the skin which causes the discoloration of bruising should be totally reabsorbed by the body in three weeks or less.

In your case,  as the symptoms are persisting for more than 1 month,so it may be due to formation of hematoma because of blood trapped in tissues. Apply warm compresses and take some anti-inflammatory analgesic like Ibuprofen. If the symptoms persist then drainage may be needed.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
