Blackhead-like Issue with Foreskin

I am circumsized.  I have had an issue with the foreskin that is sort of like blackheads for many years, but I have been embarrassed to bring it to a doctor.  There is a whitish substance in my skin that I can squeeze out to a small degree like a blackhead, but not completely. Over time it is building up under my skin.  What is it?  Is it fungal?  Will it require surgery to get out?  Is there anything I can do to clear it up without going to a doctor?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL

Hello,

From the description of your symptoms it sounds like sebaceous cyst. Sebaceous cyst is a closed sac or cyst below the surface of the skin and fills with a fatty white, semi-solid material called sebum produced by sebaceous glands of the epidermis. It is usually painless but can become painful if infected. Then antibiotics are needed.Sometimes they may need cautery or surgical excision from a surgeon also.

If painless apply warm compresses on the lump. But if it becomes painful or starts growing in size then evaluation from a dermatologist is required.

Hope it helps .Take care and pls do keep us posted in case you have any additional queries.Kind regards.
