Boil Question

Hello,
I am 22 years old. I have not had sex in the past in any form. I used an old electric machine to trim hair on the shaft of my penis last April. About a week later, I woke up with a small pimple on the shaft. It grew in size (became about 0.5 inches wide). Very ichy and painful to touch. About a week later, it became filled with pus then exploded. Now, almost 6 months later, there is still remanat of this pimple or boil and it is not going away. Will Neosporin Antiboitic Ointment help remove it ?

From the history of not having any intercourse, chances of it being a boil are more. Please keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.
