Boil problem?

I had a boil appear on my penile shaft, which was diagnosed by the GP. I also had a swollen inguinal lymph as a result.

And so I was prescribed Flucloxicillin, which seems to be helping the lymph swelling considerably.

However, Beneath the skin, there seems to be a tube in my penis, leading away from the boil, into my pubic region.

It is quite painful, any sort of pulling on the penis creates a sharp tugging pain in this tube.
What could this be? A vein? Or something else?

I am very concerned about it, I've never had any skin problem/penis problem in the past.

Thanks.

The antibiotics seem to be helping now, and my blood sugar levels came back as normal.

It all seems to be clearing up fine, but your comment made me feel a lot of relief. Thankyou very much.

Hello,
This can be due to enlarged and painful lymphatics which can be due to pressure and infection caused by the staph organism in boil. It should go away once the boil heals. Apply warm compresses on the boil and keep the area clean. Drainage of the boil is done only when it becomes soft and forms a head. Take some over the counter pain reliever and consult a doctor for examination and antibiotics prescription. If there are recurrent boils, then please get her blood sugar levels estimated.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
