Born with Bald Spot

When I was born I had a small bald spot. It grew as I got older and the bald spot itself became slightly raised from the rest of my scalp. It also retained colour from hair dye. I had to have it removed because my derm said it was pre-cancerous. Does anyone know what this is called? He said it was some sort of oil gland I believe

It could have been due to congenital alopecia aereta. Alopecia areata is a non-scarring hair loss disease that can occur in any stage of our life and it can occur in some cases as congenital forms also. In such cases, hair transplantation has given excellent results. In my opinion you should talk to a cosmetologist/dermatologist about this option.
