Bottom of feet

Bottom of feet

Hi -
My 13 year old daughter has little holes and peeling, dry patches on her feet.  It seems to be only on the parts of the foot that would touch the ground: ball of foot, sides of outer toes, heel, outer part of foot.  It looks like little bitty holes.  It doesn't itch or hurt but the appearance bothers her.  She also gets a stinging rash on her thighs.  She has just joined a swim team; could this be irritation from chlorine?  She has had warts on her feet before that went in instead of sticking out.  My husband says he gets it on his feet also.  They both do sports regularly; sweating and athlete's foot?  Any suggestions on how to treat bottom of feet?  Lotion on thighs seems to help, or Noxema when it's really stinging.
Thanks for your help.

Affy:

These certainly do not sound like warts.  Chlorine is not the problem either, so swimming is OK.

I think that you will need to have your daughter show this to the pediatrician or dermatologist for definitive dermatitis, but in the meantime, try applying Lamisil cream (OTC) once a day at bedtime.

Best.
