Bowenoid Papulosis

Dear Doctor,
I'm not sure if I posted the question in the right forum. It is about Bowenoid Papulosis. Im 26, about 5 years ago, I found a small lesion on my penis and my dermatologist removed it and use it as a sample for test. The result proved that I had BP. There are still 4 papulas on my penis and one next to anus (I don't even know how it gets there, I never had anal sex or any sexual contact with anal area). These papulas are very samll, I have to look very carefully to find them. They haven't changed (size, color, shape) since I found them (about 5 years).

my questions are:   do I need treatment for these papula?
                             will they develop to cancer?

I have a girl friend, she is with me for 4 years now. I read some articles online said there is great risk of cervical cancer for woman whose partner has BP...Im so scared now, it that ture?

she just had the first injection of the cervical cancer vaccine, the rest 2 injection will be taken in 4 months time.
Is the vaccine gonna help?

I really don't know what to do now....pls help!

thanks

The consensus is that Bowenoid papulosis is not cancer, only warts that look like cancer under the microscope.  You should have the bumps that are there checked, to be sure that's what they really are and to treat them if necessary.  Your girlfriend should have regular Gyn checks and Pap smears, which I'm sure she has.  That's about all you can and need to do.

take care.
