Bowenoid Papulosis and HPV

I had a biopsy performed on what I thought was a mole on my penis. The results came back as a bowenoid papulosis, which I was told means I have HPV. All the research I can find online says that the condition is associated with HPV, but I'm just wondering if there could be any other possible causes.  

I want to be responsible about this, but phrases like "associated with," "thought to be caused by," and "is sometimes linked to" HPV aren't enough to convince me that it's the absolute cause. Since there are no tests for men, and I've never had a wart down there, I don't want to have to live my life under the assumption that I have a disease if there are other possible causes.

I want to know for sure if I have HPV, so is there anywhere else I can look? Is there any research being done on BP now? Should I talk to an oncologist? This is causing me an insufferable amount of anxiety, stress and depression.
