Brand new hot tub

by CarlaJo, May 10, 2009 09:48PM
My family just purchased a brand new hot tub last week and we put in the appropriate chemicals and the ph balance strip says everything is perfect.  The problem is the that all  four of us developed a skin rash within 3 days of using it for the first time.  I put benadryl lotion and took Claritin but nothing has helped thus far.  I lowered the temperature to 101 degrees and still not better.  Is it the temperature of the water or could it be an allergic reactiion to the Bromine?  We just spent a lot of money to purchase this hot tub and now I don't know if I should go back in because of the rash.  What can we do that will help reduce breakouts once we go back in the tub?  I have never had any issues with skin rash from hot tubs, and the water is clear.  What can we do?
