Brown / Purple patch on face.

Hello, about two and a half months ago, I had a spot / pimple under my eye, situation along the cheek bone. Stupidly enough, I decided to pick up, but it wouldn't come out, I tried to squeeze it many times, and basically ended up trying to destroy it with pins and my fingers. Where it was, it turned bright red, it has gradually faded, and now their is still a purple or brown patch where it was, it really harms my self confidence due to where it is on a prominent part of my face, it is sort of circular, and definitely noticeable. I have been using bio-oil on the area for about a month and a half after the wound closed, which has Vitamin E in it, it is supposed to be quality stuff. I'm really worried, whats the best thing I can do? If you need a picture or more information, please ask, I will reply or post it on later. Thanks.
