Brown bumps and hair follicles

by JimmySolo, Feb 02, 2009 11:56PM
Hello,

Recently, I've noticed a couple of brown pigmented areas on my penis with pubic hairs growing out of them.  Nothing itches and they don't appear to be getting any larger, but I'm starting to get concerned about what they might be.  I have an appointment to see a dermatologist, but unfortunately my appointment is 3 weeks from now.  The mind tends to play tricks on you while you wait and I'm starting to think these may be warts, but I'm not really aware of any warts where pubic hairs grow out of them.  I would really appreciate an expert's educated eye while I'm waiting for my appointment.  Also, if these are not warts, how would I go about clearing this up?  Here are the links:

Thanks in advance,

They look as though they could be warts, although I agree with you that warts generally don't have hairs in them.  If these spots have appeared recently, that would make warts more probable.  I'm afraid you'll have to wait for your visit with the dermatologist for definitive diagnosis.  If they are warts, getting rid of them should be a straightforward matter.

Best.
