Brown marks with many small blisters?

by Kirol, Apr 24, 2008 05:11PM
Ok, so I've been having a look around the internet. Still, can't find much on this...
Lately, I've been inflicted with what seem to be tiny pin-point brown spots (they don't seem to be very deep into the skin) which appear alongside many tiny (what seem to be) blisters, which are only slightly raised from the skin until irritated. (Then they become enlarged/enflamed.)
It started on the palm of my right hand, and is now just between the middle finger and palm. It now seems to be spreading to the same places on my left hand.
Upon stretching the skin, it causes moderate discomfort and make it itchy. (Though scratching has little effect other than hurting, really.
On my left hand, the small blisters seem to be spreading up my middle finger and are causing no end of annoyance as my ring finger keeps rubbing against them, irritating the nerves and making it itchy.
As far as I can tell from what I've read up on the internet, it could be Phytophotodermatitis. Then again, I'm British. There aren't really any plants or anything that can inflict such ailments (like poison ivy) over here, at least thatI would come in contact with. I've also been feeling sick (physically sick) in the mornings, a few hours after I wake.
Sometimes, taking my daily dietary supplements (I'm vegetarian, need my pill for iron and luten) forces violent regurgitation despite me having nothing prior to eat.
Any suggestions on what I could do / another type of diagnosis?

I get the same exact thing and have been getting it for years. Usually they just go away after two weeks or so, but one time they got so bad i had to go to the dermatologist and he shot me up with steroids to bring the swelling down. he told me they were water blisters but i think that is untrue. I don't think it is Phytophotodermatitis as that occurs mostly on the outside of the hand not the palm side which is the only side effected on my hands. It is as the base of my fingers and they work their way up to the tips but the worse blisters always seem to be my two middle fingers at the base and i see smaller ones develop inbetween my other fingers. I have health insurance kicking in soon so I will go to a dermatoligist again for a second opinion.
