Brown spots appearing on legs, hips, and torso

I have these weird light brownish spots appearing all over my legs, hips and torso. started as one small spot on my hip that gradually got bigger, is now about the size of a silver dollar. This started about 2 months ago. now i have about 20 of them of various shapes and sizes. almost looks like a fungus but over the counter anti-fungal creams dont help. they are almost the color of a bruise that is almost healed and dont hurt or itch. Any ideas?
