Bruising on head of penis

by JimSox, Dec 30, 2008 04:55PM
Around 6 to 9 months ago, but kids accidently kicked my penis. There was a lot of pain, but it went away. I didn't notice it at first, but there was what appears to be bruising on part of the penis head that goes from on side to the other side. The bruising ranges from 1 mm to 3 mm from the left side of the penis head to the right side. The bruising starts at the lip of the foreskin.  After  9 months, the bruising is still there. There is no pain, but it bothers me that the bruising hasn't gone away (assuming that is what it is). The bruising ranges from a light brown to a few spots of darker shades. I can't tell if it has faded with time, because I can't even remember when I first noticed it. There is no pain at all, but I'm concern.

I'm assuming that the shades of brown occurred with I was accidently hit by my children, but is there something else that may have caused it? Do you have any advice as to when it will go away or what the healing time is for these types of injuries? Is there something else that may have caused this? I'm married and have only had sex with my partner over the past 18 years. I would appreciate any input you can give me.

From your description, I'm pretty sure that the color changes you're seeing are not abnormal at all.  Perhaps they're left over from the bruise, but more likely they are just variants of the way penis skin looks that you never paid attention to before.  Please show these skin changes to your doctor, or to a skin doctor, so that you can forget about them.

Take care.
