Bump on Foreskin

by roger, Feb 14, 2001 12:00AM
I'm a 25 year old circumsized male and a couple of weeks ago noticed a red rash type area on the back side of the remaining foreskin beneath the head.  There was no itching or pain and the redness went away after a couple of days.  What worries me is that a portion of the piece of piece of skin that runs from the head to the shaft (I believe it's called the fremulum?) is still red and appears to be slightly raised.   I can also see a very small white spot in that area.  It doesn't look anything like the warts I've seen pictures of but I'm still worried I may have developed something.  Do I have any reason to worry about this or is that just a sensative area that could have been irritated?    I haven't had sexual contact in over 12 months and have never had any symptoms before.  Thanks.

Roger:

Redness on sensitive skin like the penis can last for weeks or longer.  It'll go away.

As for the spot, small cysts typically grow in that region.  I'd show a doc next time you see one, but it doesn't sound like anything you have to do something about.

Best.
