Bump on Penis

Bump on Penis

Ok, so I'm 16 years old... I know I don't actually have an STD because I haven't been really sexually active in a way that could give me a disease... as well it started during a time in which I had no sexual activity...

Anyway, I have a small bump on the the bottom right side of my penis right about my hair and to the left of a vein...  It is not actually on my penis and is in the skin (I can pick it up with the skin).  It is entirely painless and not really noticeable except to the touch.  It's been there for maybe 3 or 4 weeks... it's almost cyst-like.  Any suggestions on what it is or ways to get rid of it?

Keep in mind that it is only one bump, it is small, it does not hurt, it is only in the skin, it does not itch...  Who knows?

Hello,
From the symptoms it sounds like a sebaceous cyst. The painless lump that you are having seems like a sebaceous cyst. A sebaceous cyst is a closed sac occurring just under the skin which contains a "pasty" or "cheesy" looking substance called keratin. They may occur anywhere on body but scalp, ears, back, face, and upper arm, are common sites for sebaceous cysts. Blocked sebaceous glands, swollen hair follicles and excessive testosterone production will cause such cysts.

Generally no treatment is required but they become painful then it means they are infected,Then surgical excision by traditional wide excision, minimal excision, and punch biopsy excision may be required.
I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.

So, if I don't do anything about it, it won't go away?  It is still there... still small... still painless.  It might help you to know that when I first discovered it I did try to "pop" it and a VERY small amount of white secretion did come out.

Hello,
Since it is a small sebaceous cyst,so application of warm compresses may help.Otherwise they should be left as such. But if they cause any pain, then they should be got removed.

I hope it helps.Take care and regards.
